General Terms and Conditions

The reservation and booking of any of the trips offered by RUTAS MEIGAS, S.L. through its website implies full acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions.

The contractual relationship between RUTAS MEIGAS, S.L. and the customer shall be governed by these General Terms and Conditions, as well as by the specific clauses agreed upon in the package travel contract and by the travel fact sheet detailing the final content of the trip.

These General Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the provisions of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, of November 16, approving the consolidated text of the General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users and other supplementary laws (Official State Gazette No. 287 of November 30, 2007), as well as any other applicable regulations.

The technical organization of the trips included in the packages or excursions has been carried out by RUTAS MEIGAS, S.L., Tax Identification Number (CIF): B15649270, with registered office at Lugar do Barco, No. 1, Postal Code 15917 – Padrón (A Coruña), Spain, and duly registered with the Directorate General for Tourism of Galicia under Wholesale–Retail license XG-500 – www.rutasmeigas.com.

RUTAS MEIGAS, S.L. holds mandatory civil liability insurance, as required by law. Likewise, all our trips include Travel Assistance Insurance.

Cancellation Insurance is an optional service that customers may purchase, if they so wish, at the time of booking.

1.1 Booking and Management

To make a reservation, the customer must complete and submit the booking request form available in the corresponding section of the website.

After the traveler submits the booking request, RUTAS MEIGAS, S.L. will provide the pre-contractual information by email.

1.2 Deposit Payment

To confirm the booking, a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit (EXCEPT UNDER SPECIAL COVID-19 CONDITIONS), corresponding to 10% of the total trip price, must be paid within a maximum period of ten (10) business days from acceptance of the offer. In no case shall this amount be less than a minimum of … euros.

At the time of payment of the deposit, the traveler must indicate the reservation number or the name of the booking holder as the payment reference.

Payments may be made by bank transfer or virtual POS (credit/debit card).

2.1 Payment Notification

Payment must be confirmed by email to peregrinos@rutasmeigas.com, attaching proof of payment and indicating the budget request number.

The booking will not be considered confirmed until the confirmation email of the deposit payment has been received.

2.2 Booking Confirmation

Once the management fee deposit payment has been received, RUTAS MEIGAS, S.L. will send an email confirming the booking. This deposit will be deducted from the final price of the trip.

2.3 Payment of the Remaining Balance

The remaining balance of the trip price must be paid no later than twenty (20) days before the start date of the package or excursion.

The booking of the trip and the payment of management fees and/or the total trip price imply the traveler’s acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions, as well as any specific conditions that may apply.

Included and optional services are those specified in the technical data sheet of each package or excursion.

All cancellations must be communicated in writing to RUTAS MEIGAS, S.L., indicating the reservation number, by email to: peregrinos@rutasmeigas.com.

Any cancellation request received after 6:00 p.m. will be considered received on the next business day, according to the Spanish public holiday calendar.

The user may withdraw from the contracted services at any time, subject to the following conditions:

• Cancellations made at least eight (8) days prior to the trip start date: 90% of the total reservation price paid by the traveler will be refunded.
• Cancellations made between the seventh (7th) and third (3rd) day prior to the trip start date: 50% of the total reservation price paid by the traveler will be refunded.
• Cancellations made within two (2) days prior to the trip start date: 0% of the total reservation price paid by the traveler will be refunded.

The total reservation price shall be understood as the sum of the 10% deposit (or the minimum amount paid to confirm the trip) plus the remaining 90% of the agreed trip price.

RUTAS MEIGAS, S.L. recommends purchasing Cancellation Insurance at the time of booking.

5.1 Modifications

Any change to an existing booking will be subject to the corresponding modification fee.

As a general rule, a fee of €15 will apply for changes to the package, excursion, number of participants, room distribution, additional nights, or any other characteristics of the booked trip.

Once the booking has been formalized and the corresponding payments have been made, any change to the travel date will be considered a cancellation, subject to the following conditions:

• Changes made at least eight (8) days prior to the trip start date: 90% refund of the total reservation price paid.
• Changes made between the seventh (7th) and third (3rd) day prior to the trip start date: 50% refund of the total reservation price paid.
• Changes made within two (2) days prior to the trip start date: 0% refund of the total reservation price paid.

Afterwards, the traveler may make a new reservation if desired.

The customer may transfer the package trip to another person, provided that reasonable notice of at least fifteen (15) days is given, and subject to payment of any additional management costs incurred, in accordance with Article 157 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007.

Both the transferor and the transferee shall be jointly and severally liable to RUTAS MEIGAS, S.L. for payment of the trip price and any additional management costs.

All travelers are responsible for ensuring that they have the required documentation for the destination country (national ID card, passport, visas, health requirements, etc.).

RUTAS MEIGAS, S.L. acts solely as an information provider in this regard, and it is the customer’s responsibility to verify such requirements with the competent authorities. If, due to missing or incorrect documentation, the customer is forced to cancel or abandon the trip, the cancellation policy outlined above shall apply.

RUTAS MEIGAS, S.L. shall be responsible for the proper performance of all services included in the packages or excursions, in accordance with Article 161 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, and shall provide assistance to travelers in difficulty, as established in Article 163.2 of the same legal text and these General Terms and Conditions.

The relationship between RUTAS MEIGAS, S.L. and the customer shall be governed by current Spanish law, and any dispute shall be submitted to the Courts and Tribunals of Santiago de Compostela, Spain.
