Miguel Reguero, managing partner of Rutas Meigas and member of the Order of the St. James Way, attended the extraordinary meeting of the Order on September 21st at the Hostal dos Reis Católicos in Santiago de Compostela.
Miguel Reguero was made Knight of the Order of the St. James Way in 2015 for his career in the tourism sector that he developed in different countries of the world, and in particular for his work in projecting the St. James Way outside our national borders, promoting its universal values (effort , Solidarity, hospitality, generosity), one of the main tasks of the order.
The Order of the St. James Way was born in the XII century, with the obligation to protect the pilgrims who use the Camino and to preserve many of its traditional values and symbols. It has adapted to the times but always keeping a particular mission: to appreciate the Camino de Santiago, to promote and protect its cultural heritage and to promote and disseminate ethnographically and the various Jacobean routes, the pilgrimages and the connection with the territories.
